Demand for Tech Talent across all areas of expertise grew exponentially YoY through 2021 & 2022.  While there’s an expected decline in 2023, demand remains relatively strong as is expected for many years to come.

In 2021, the Black & Hispanic median household income was $48,297 and $57,981. Comparatively, Asian & White median household income in 2021 was $101,418 & $77,999. Coincidentally, statistics show that every year since 2000 both Asian & White people have enrolled in college at higher rates than any other race.

Silicon Valley has an excessive  amount of power & influence  throughout  multiple industries including politics, yet black professionals occupy 3.7% of technical roles at large tech companies, despite making up 13% of the overall labor force.

Closing the gap in educational attainment between working age (25-64) men of color and non hispanic white men of the same age, the share of working aged men of color who have a bachelor’s degree or above would double– leading to an increase in total U.S GDP which equates to 1.8% or $350 billion respectively.

Tech salaries have increased at a steady pace since 2019, with the average salaries in Tier 1 markets such as SF & NYC moving 8.4% from 154k to 167k in 2022.
